Long, rough weeks like this one can really pull me down, so I thought I would take a few moments to reflect on the positive changes in my life with the start of 2013. Since the beginning of the year, I:
- Successfully used WeightWatcher‘s eTools to track my food and beverage intake and my activities
- Began using a FitBit Zip as well as my ActiveLink to better capture my activity levels as well as how much I’m burning and earning when I exercise
- Achieved some form of physical activity during 28 of the month’s 31 days – I have some room to grow
- Succeeded in losing (rather than gaining) more than 5 pounds
- Wrote something every day (including this blog!)
- Captured one photograph every day as part of my 2013 Project 365
- Joined several local Meet-up groups and participated in one Meet-up event with the photography group I joined
- Read two books for fun and started on a third
- Talked with people I love – via e-mail, telephone, and even Skype
I’ve got a long way to go to with many of my goals, but it feels good to recognize that I’ve managed some success in the first month of the year. Hope my February is as good – I’m certainly planning on it!
It sounds like you are off to a great start! Keep it up and celebrate your achievements!
