With the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday today, and the inauguration, moving quotes seemed everywhere – on the radio, on the news, in tweets and Facebook posts. Poets and dreamers graced the festivities with words and music that lifted my heart. Some days, like today, it seems like we’ve come a long way and have such along way to go, but everything is possible with love and hard work.
I worked today, unlike many people in my community. But I found inspiration all around me the moment I walked outside my door. Not only was the day balmy and beautiful, but there were also sure signs even in my yard that more lovely days are ahead.
