Just a Walk in the Park

Spent several hours early this afternoon enjoying the sunshine while walking the dogs.  It was a beautiful, balmy day in Sacramento and the mild temperature made for a fantastic day for photo opportunities.

We began our five-mile trek walking through San Juan Reservoir Park.

After crossing San Juan, we walked along the trail toward Peregrine Park.

As we neared the park, we noticed this watcher wanting desperately to escape and join our walk.

Instead of following the path across the highway, we decided to stay on our side of the bridge and head toward a new destination.

Just past Peregrine Park, we startled this bird, who was so put out he seemed to walk on water to escape our disruption.

We crossed San Juan again, and then ventured to Tanzanite Park to allow the dogs a chance to enjoy the Bark Park there.  This was the first time I’d taken the doodles to this park, and other than an overly friendly German Shepherd who annoyed both girls, they appeared to have a great time making new canine buddies.

The Watcher should be entered in a photo contest. Really creative shot.
